Sea Corals

This group of larger-than-life sculptures pushes the boundaries of concrete as an art medium.

The intricate pattern of sea fans was an alluring challenge to sculpt. Three sculptures were constructed with geometric voids, each with its unique characteristics. The fourth sculpture incorporated inlaying-shaped tile to contribute to the group’s diversity.

The sculptures received high media coverage to emphasize Freeport’s “environmental awareness” initiative. Coral Vita (coral farm on Grand Bahama) and Save the Bays (concerned individuals committed to protecting the bays of The Bahamas) sponsored the installation of the artworks.
